Karen Martin Gammons, RN, MSN, CCRN, CNAA,BC and Sharon Martin Mitchell RN, MSN, CCRN, CNAA,BC are the current Co-Directors of Collaborative Patient Care Management and have been in their role for 11 years.  With grassroots experience, each served in the capacity of a Patient Care Coordinator within the model for 3 years.  Both original joined the division of Critical Care at High Point Regional Health System as experienced Critical Care Nurses 16 years ago during their graduate work as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist.  Each received their Master of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and their Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree from Radford University in Radford, Virginia.  Karen and Sharon have received numerous awards for professional accomplishments for their commitment to the profession of Nursing in North Carolina, improving Clinical Practice and Research, and recently received certification as Six Sigma Green Belt(s) through The College of Textiles and the Industrial Extension Service of North Carolina State University.
